Peanut Island Pirate Fest

                                March 20th & 21st  2010

2010 Peanut Island Pirate Fest theme

The tall ship HMS Bounty has been lured to the southern docks of Peanut Island

which is now under the control of the Pirates of the Treasure Coast.

After a previous encounter with the  HMS Bounty, pirates have enticed the ship's crew to make way to an island where the waters are deep enough for their massive ship to dock and load the spoils and treasures of the island aboard their ship.

"Legend has it, there was an enormous stockpile of rum and other items of considerable value stored inside an old bunker on this island. The pirates know that the contents had been moved to a secret location on the island long before the Bunker was renovated and opened to the public."

Having learned of the HMS Bounty's union with the Pirate of the Treasure Coast, the government has commissioned the Privateer Lynx to sail to Peanut Island and offer the mutinous crew of the Bounty a choice. A full pardon if they elect to return the ship to her home port by April 5th, or be brought to justice by the crew of the Privateer Lynx and face certain execution.

         Privateer Lynx

Peanut Island Pirate Fest, West Palm Beach, March 20th and 21st A pirate experience for the whole family featuring the tall ships HMS Bounty and the Privateer Lynx.

The Privateer Lynx arrived in mid January at Peanut Island with her guns a blaze, but the crew quickly realized that they were out numbered, as this pirate island is heavily armed and well fortified.

To avoid bloodshed and damage to the ships, the Lynx crew deceptively agreed to join the pirates in their quest to pillage the island.

As the weeks became months the bond between pirates and privateers have grown stronger, so the pirates have decided to invite the Lynx crew to share a keg of rum and celebrate the Spring Equinox with a pig roast.

Time is running out for the Lynx to fulfill its obligation to the deliver the ultimatum to the Bounty's crew. With the rum flowing, this party may be the best opportunity to do so without a direct confrontation with the pirates.

Will the Bounty be returned to her home port?

Doing so would require the Bounty and Lynx crews to join forces for an all out battle against the Pirates of the Treasure Coast.

Or will the crew of the Bounty refuse the Privateers offer and retain their status as mutineers?

There are a few ways to find out.
